Make this a "Turn around Year!"

 I read about a month ago from Kenneth Copeland's magazine that Gloria Copeland, his wife, has stated in her article for this January's edition, that she is going to make 2021 a "turn around" year. I thought the idea of turning things around was most appealing and uplifting.

I have decided, with God's help, that I, too, will do my best to make 2021 a turn around year. So, what are my goals in making  this year different than all the other years? I am going to turn around anxiety, fear, loneliness and uncertainty and I will do this by turning over my anxiety, fear and loneliness to God and trusting in Him to take these unwanted emotions away and instead, trust Him to get these unwanted emotions out of my life and over to Him. For, I belong to Him, for He cares for me.

When you are a born again Christian, God and His son Jesus, want you to be happy and content but you can't be if you are not with them and trusting that they will take care of your personal needs. Before I was born again, I did not realize that as a child of God, I have certain rights and privileges--and those rights and privileges will help me live a more stress-free and happy life.

Make this a "turn around" year! You can do it and so can I! God wants the best for you--turn to Him and He will show you the way. Remember, as a children of God..."We belong to Jesus and He cares for us!"

    Great idea for a Turn Around Year. Get rid of the old and look to the present and the future with the Good Lord. Never look back. Lots wife did and you remember what happened to her. Best wishes to all in making this year better.

Enjoy Christmas this year; put aside the virus

 This Christmas season and the Christmas season last year--2020, have been challenging, for sure!  The virus has taken away many freedoms we have held dearly and maybe have taken for granted. But,   you and I don't have to stay hostage to this virus or any virus. We can still be happy and enjoy the   season. Sure, many of us are unable to be with family and friends and that hurts; that hurts a lot.  But, when you think about the real meaning of Christmas and why so many of us celebrate it, we   can still be happy and positive and enjoy the happiness of the season.   Christians celebrate Christmas because that is when Christ was born.   Thanksgiving at Grandma’s by Toni Star November, then and now, signals just one thing to me, Thanksgiving at Grandma’s.  Thanksgiving at her house was paradise!  The atmosphere of food, laughter and love was wonderful and unforgettable.  Thanksgiving morning at our house was busy.  Mom would prepare a salad or pie; we kids would dress up in our good clothes and then go outside to play. We had to be careful not to get dirty.  Good clothes in our family didn’t come easy.  We weren’t poor but we were very frugal with money and food.  Meanwhile, Dad stayed busy in the garage checking out the old Chevy.  He’d check the oil, water and the battery and then give the tires a kick, for readiness.  Often, I would go into the garage from time to time to see how he was doing.  Often, he found things for me to do-such as checking the oil and water and inspecting the car battery to see if was clean and water filled to the proper level.
